Smile/laughter is one of the
most natural and easiest exercises; you can do anytime and anywhere. It is
extremely good for health and emotional well being. A smile is
a curve that sets everything straight. It costs nothing and wastes no time, but
gives much.. Think of it as FREE therapy!!!
Smile
therapy helps in Thirteen Ways:
1. Makes you Attractive & Happier: The muscles you use to smile lift
the face, making you appear younger and look better. Smile to make yourself happier
too.
2. Instant Mood
Booster:
Smiling can trick the body and change your mood for the better.
3. Releases Stress: Smile lowers levels of stress hormones and prevents us from
looking tired, worn down, and overwhelmed. Laughter is an instant vacation, to
relax and relieve stress.
4. Strengthens
Immune System: Laughter improves
immune function, as you are more relaxed. It decreases stress hormones and
increases immune cells and infection fighting antibodies, thus improving your
resistance to disease. This
reduces risk of many diseases from the common cold to chronic cancer. It can lessen reactions
to allergies too.
5. Lowers Blood Pressure: When you smile, there is a
measurable reduction in your blood pressure.
6. Natural pain
killer: Smiling triggers the
release of endorphin, the body’s natural feel-good
chemicals. Endorphin promotes an overall sense of well-being and can even
temporarily relieve pain. Always
laugh when you can. Laughter is the best medicine available freely.
7. Laughing
improves breathing: Laughing empties lungs of more air than it takes
in, resulting in a cleansing effect; similar to deep breathing, which is good
for health.
8. Laughing Stimulates your organs: Laughter
enhances your intake of oxygen-rich air and relaxes the whole body. It
stimulates your heart, lungs and muscles, and increases the endorphin that is
released by your brain. It improves the function of blood vessels and
increases blood flow, which can help to protect your heart. Laughter helps
to reduce heart disease, to lose weight and to give a good sleep.
9. Smiling is infectious & spreads happiness: Smiling is
contagious. You catch it like the flu. When someone
smiles at you, you are sure of starting smiling. When someone is smiling they
lighten up the room, change the moods of others, and make things happier. A
smiling person brings happiness with them. Thus smile makes you
happier and also spreads happiness to others. The person you graced
with your smile may go on to pass the kindness to someone else. Who knows how
far your original smile will travel?
Smile
a while; while you smile, there will be miles and miles of smile.
10. Helps to Stay Positive: When we smile, our body is
sending the rest of us a message that "Life is Good!" Stay away from
depression, stress and worry by smiling.
11. Promotes Success: A
cheerful person is always welcome .Smiling people appear
more confident and capable. Smiling people get more opportunities as smile
leaves favourable impressions.
12. Smile inspires others: A smile creates goodwill, a feeling of friendship and makes new friends. A smile sends a
positive message that can potentially change someone else's mood for the
better. A smile brings inspiration to the discouraged, cheer to the
sad and warmth to the troubled. A smile costs nothing, but has the power to
enrich all who receive it. A smile takes only a moment, but its memory can last
forever.
13. Increases personal satisfaction: Laughter can also make
difficult situations a little bit easier. Smile while doing a difficult work. Smile creates
greatness in personality.
The simple act of smiling (yes, even forced smiles
count!) can do miracles. No matter, what bad things happen to you, but keep a
smile on your face….because smiling always starts the healing.
There is no reason not to laugh. Keep Smiling................................
